This older home in the middle of town is the perfect location for your country get-away. Walking distance to shopping and dining, and a 15-30 minute drive to Big South Fork, Historic Rugby, Pickett State Park, Sgt. York's Homeplace & Museum, and Muddy Pond Amish Community. Recent updates mixed with vintage furnishings and original hardwood floors give this home an historical feel while providing modern comforts. The large back yard makes the home ideal for those traveling with children or pets. The Potter's House is a 1935 cottage and has all the quirks that come with an historic home: some wonky floors, narrow doorways, and small closets (to name a few). If you are into new, stainless, updated everything, this is not the home for you. However, if you like vintage, and appreciate the character of older places, you have found a gem. The main entrance is located at the carport on the lower level where you will enter using a keypad. This brings you into the laundry/game room which is adjacent to another sleeping area that contains a full bed, armoire, side table, and lamp. The cute reading nook contains some books and games. Stairs lead you to the upper, main living area that contains the living room, full kitchen and bath, and two bedrooms. Out the front door you will find a small porch and a back porch just off the kitchen. This property is on a main street and has some shopping and fast food within walking distance. For most shopping and dining you will need to drive. NOTE: the carport has low clearance The driveway is paved and has a small turnaround. This home is located on a main street in a small, rural town. Small businesses on either side of the large lot and a residential area at the rear. Some shopping and fast food are within walking distance, though most will need to be accessed by a vehicle. Parking is free everywhere.
