No TV. No Wifi. Your cell phone will probably work, but no promises… **We listed this property over 7 years ago, but we were new to Airbnb and got cold feet, and therefore never actually booked this place. Since then, we have listed several other properties and are now a Superhost! The pictures and listing have been updated as of March of 2022. We have learned the ropes and are now prepared to list this special place. Because this is our second home that we cherish, we are firm on the no children or pets policy. Our 24 acre "Ranchita" is nestled in between several (much) larger ranches, giving it a grand feel and a lot of privacy. You will wake up each morning to beautiful views of lush, green hills, and will go to sleep each night to the calming quiet of the Texas Hill Country with thousands of stars to gaze at. Sound dreamy? It most certainly is! There are two cabins on the property, but the one available for Airbnb guests is the smaller green cabin. The guest cabin has a queen size bed with a memory foam topper, and a bathroom with a stand up shower. Outside boasts a large flagstone patio and lights strung between the cabins. There is also a little tiled pool for you to dip in and cool off in the warmer months (it will be covered in the winter months). There is no kitchenette, but are happy to set up a grill upon request. There is a fabulous restaurant down the road and of course- Bandera is close by as well! The smaller green cabin + 24 acres! It most certainly is! Tarpley itself is a blink-and-you'll-miss-it type of place about an hour outside of San Antonio. There is one great restaurant- Mac and Ernies (featured once on the Food Network). You could also mosey into Bandera where you can shop, eat, and see the occasional rodeo. Garner State Park is about 45 minutes away, but there are plenty of places to get wet close by (weather/rainfall permitting). Perfect for a romantic getaway, you will not be disappointed! Unplug, and relax. One thing that I will promise is you will experience an abundance of native wildlife, fossils, and the beauty of nature. You might even find an arrowhead if you're lucky!
