The Pirate Cove

You will enjoy easy access to everything from this centrally located place just minuets from the Des Moines International Airport and downtown attractions. Take advantage of the trail around Easter lake. Lots of nature and quiet. Walk or Bike 6 miles of trail around the lake. Slip into a comfortable king size bed for a great nights sleep. Take advantage of coffee or tea in the morning, or head into town to one of many restaurants that are close by. This space is the entire living portion of a walk out basement. Living room / eating area, a full bathroom and a large bedroom with a kingsize bed. Also included is a off street parking area. We do live upstairs, so expect some living noise, but we are fairly quiet people. Lori and I would like to meet all our guests. We appreciate and respect your privacy, But we are always available. During your stay: 1. If you are staying more than one night, please be eco friendly and reuse your towels. There are extra towels available if needed during longer stays. 2. We have a security system. There are cameras installed outside. There are door alarms only on our main living area. There is however a glass breakage detector down stairs in the main living area. PLEASE do not touch the little white box above the light switch. It is ultra sensitive to touch and will set the alarm off. The system is in place to protect you and us during your stay. 3. The fireplace is temporarily out of service while we try to locate a remote to control it. During summer months the fireplace is shut down. 4. Please park your vehicle in front of the small garage door and please do not block the larger door. Our neighborhood is super quiet for the most part. Please observe posted speed limits. Close to the lake and park facilities with direct walk path access There is no bus service available in this neighborhood. you will have to travel by car, or Uber/Lyft otherwise.
