Our newly renovated stylish South Coast cottage is located 1.5hrs South of Sydney in Oak Flats and provides the perfect home base to relax and unwind by Lake Illawarra, or to explore the beauty of the South Coast. Close to public transport and just a short drive to shops, cafes & restaurants, and the stunning neighbouring suburbs of Shellharbour, Minnamurra, Kiama, Gerringong & Berry. The home is located in a quiet street in the suburb of Oak Flats - neighbouring Shellharbour, and just off the Princes Highway on the edge of Lake Illawarra. The cottage style home is recently renovated with new beautifully appointed kitchen and an open plan dining and lounge space. 2 of 3 bedrooms in the house is available for use with the following configuration: Bedroom 1: 1 x Queen Size Bed. Bedroom 2: 1 x Queen Size Bed. The lounge room has wall mounted smart TV, air conditioning, and two lounges (neither of which are fold-out so this is a genuine 'sleeps 4' listing). The Northern aspect of the front porch gets beautiful morning sunshine, and a large enclosed deck at the back provides a perfect space for outdoor entertaining (however there's no BBQ). The property is located on a corner, with adjoining council reserve and a huge yard. There is no covered parking; parking is in the driveway, or street parking. The home is opposite Deakin Reserve and one of the beautiful jetty & boat ramps of Lake Illawarra. It is also only 5 minutes drive to Stockland Shellharbour, Lake Illawarra Entrance, clubs and restaurants. A short 10 min drive away you'll find beautiful Shellharbour Village and "The Farm" Beach (Killalea Reserve), Hidden Gem "Bushrangers Bay", Clubs & Restaurants (Bowling Club, Sports Club & Workers Club), and beautiful nearby suburbs of Minnamurra, Kiama, Gerringong and Berry within (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) mins drive. Oak Flats is part of a beautiful stretch of the South Coast, perfect for days spent relaxing by the Lake, or eating and exploring the beautiful and delicious hidden gems of the South Coast coastline. You'll have access to the whole home aside from 1 of 3 bedrooms. The garage at the back of the property is also locked and not included in the listing. This is our home so we ask for you to take care of our loved possessions, and respect our neighbours. The house is entirely yours during your stay. However we'll only be a phone call and a short drive away should you need any information or assistance during your stay. Oak Flats is part of a beautiful stretch of Coastline, perfect for days spent relaxing on one of our many beautiful beaches, splashing around at Lake Illawarra's Entrance, surfing & paddle boarding, fishing in Lake Illawarra, Shopping at Stockland Shellharbour, eating at one of our many amazing cafes and restaurants, or road tripping South to Minnamurra, Kiama, Gerringong, Gerroa's 7 Mile Beach, Jamberoo Rainforest, Vinyards, or beautiful Berry. You have everything you need at your fingertips, and everything else is only a short drive. We love the South Coast and have an extensive knowledge of unique activities, foodie hot spots, (Hidden by Airbnb) mable locations, and things to enjoy in all seasons. We can point you in the right direction for the best cocktails, best feeds, and/or something memorable like cooking classes, wine tastings at local vineyards, hiking, horse riding the beach, or skydive the beach! Oak Flats is on the South Coast of NSW, 2hrs South of Sydney CBD and just off the Princes Highway when traveling by car.
