"Longswamp Studio Retreat" is a light and spacious one bedroom cottage nestled within a secluded and well preserved remnant of Cumberland Plain Woodland in Western Sydney. The property is maintained according to both permaculture principles and an appreciation for nature, biodiversity and large native garden. The perfect place to escape and recharge for a well deserved long week end or longer. You may be looking for a restful place to come home to while you work in the region. You may be interested in the natural environment and biodiversity. You may be looking for a place to express your creativity in art, music, play the piano for hours without fear of disturbing anyone or do the writing that you have been putting off. You may simply need a break from the duties of daily life. Or the romantic escape. The living area also features a piano. "Longswamp" has no internet and only patchy mobile phone reception, so come to disconnect from the digital world and reconnect with yourself in a beautiful place. "Longswamp" is situated on 100 acres of well preserved remnant Cumberland Plain Woodland. This includes its critically endangered ecological community. Guests are welcome to access these areas. The studio flat is adjoined but separate from the main house where we live and has separate access. We have purposefully set up the Studio flat as self check in and check out to ensure privacy. We are available if you have any needs or questions. As we are coming and going, this can be via SMS but always happy to say hi. Visit the local weekly Saturday morning markets in Camden (20 mins away) for locally grown fresh produce. Cobbitty Markets are on the Ist Saturday of the month. The area offers many attractions such as the Mount Annan Botanical Gardens and Burragorang lookout. Our geographical region has experienced enormous growth over the past few years. Despite this our property retains a healthy remnant of the Cumberland Plain Woodland and associated biodiversity within the Sydney Basin. Public transport doesn't come to Longswamp so you need a car to get around. However if you wanted to go to Sydney City for the day you can park at one of the nearby train stations. We're perfectly situated for a drive to the Southern Highlands or a day trip to the Blue Mountains. There is no internet coverage we apologise but we have very little satellite Internet ourselves and only patchy mobile phone reception. Our guests say they enjoy break from constantly checking their phones. Some guests have download movies to bring on their own devices. I follow Airbnb’s enhanced cleaning protocol, which was developed with expert guidance. Here are a few highlights: I sanitize high-touch surfaces, down to the doorknob I use cleaners and disinfectants approved by global health agencies, and I wear protective gear to help prevent cross-contamination I clean each room using extensive cleaning checklists I provide extra cleaning supplies, so you can clean as you stay I comply with local laws, including any additional safety or cleaning guidelines
