Welcome to Maggie's Cottage - an old-fashioned Queenslander with modern comforts set in a perfectly private and peaceful corner of our farm in the Mary Valley. Ideal for one or two couples. While here enjoy the rural views, read, chat, bird-watch, relax around the fire-pit, and generally feel the serenity. Explore local markets, bush trails, and quirky towns like Imbil, Kenilworth and Kandanga. Try your hand at kayaking on Yabba Creek or bring your boat for a day on Borumba Dam. We think the best features of Maggie's Cottage are: Spacious verandahs Fully-appointed kitchen Morning sun pouring into the bathroom through the extra large window Watching cockatoos, galahs, rosellas and lorikeets Observing the night sky from around either of the fire pits Feel free to walk around our 14 acre property. Keep an eye out for parrots, kangaroos, bandicoots, and possums. You might even spot an echidna or two. We don't charge a cleaning fee. Firewood is supplied. Our cottage is eco-friendly with tank water (filtered in the kitchen), solar power and on-site waste treatment (this limits what can be flushed). We welcome your well-behaved pets but please be aware that the cottage yard is not dog-fenced. We request that your pets are not left unattended. As you will be sharing our rural property we want you to be aware of possible hazards from normal farm conditions such as uneven ground, barbed wire fences, etc. There are also unfenced dams on the property so, for their own safety, please supervise children at all times. Imbil township is a 3 minute drive - enjoy a coffee, pick up essential groceries, have a meal at the pub, or go to the skate park. Scenic Lake Borumba is 15 minutes drive. If you're a market groupie, the famous Eumundi Market and the food and produce market at Yandina (a favourite with foodie locals) are 30 minutes away. Ask us about the smaller markets closer to home. Noosa is a 45 minute drive if you hanker after a day at the beach or a posh lunch.
