Quirky and rustic cottage bed and breakfast, near coastal paths in Pendeen. Single bedroom with single bed and shared family bathroom with breakfast thrown in. Beautiful garden with distant views of the ocean. NB: Dogs on premises. No.18 bus from Penzance stops right outside in Lower Boscaswell. Quiet and beautiful setting, friendly and gentle host. Ideal no-fuss accommodation and base for hikes or touring South West Cornwall. No smoking. Steps and stairs abound (suit able-bodied only). Old fashioned, basic space with charm. Our property is in need of updating, so please don’t expect all mod cons, but we think you will find the space good enough for a nice stay, especially the views from the breakfast table and the garden :). Please be aware that my two little dogs are very attracted to food, so you are advised to store any snacks in sealed containers, otherwise they will find a way when you are not looking! Space for one car to park on the premises. No.18 bus from Penzance railway station stops nearby. People mostly walk to places from here, it’s a popular coastal walking area. Corner shop, chip shop, pubs, pottery, mine museum, Portuguese restaurant and post office within 1 mile. Local beach cove and lighthouse 1.5 miles (no lifeguard). The living space and kitchen/dining area where you will eat breakfast are all open plan here and I work from home, so although you are welcome into the kitchen area to make yourself a cup of tea during the rest of the day, I’m assuming you will mostly either be out and about during the day or in your room or the garden and eating your other meals out. Unfortunately this space is too small for my guests to cook for themselves, although I am happy sometimes to arrange for you to share whatever I’m having for lunch or supper at my table for a small fee if you give me a heads up :). I will be here during your stay. Let me know if you need anything. I am happy to chat but also happy to give you space and quiet if you need it. This is my home so I occasionally have guests of my own coming for meals or coffee. Old Cornish buildings, friendly village setting, close to the coast, with local corner shops, chip shop, post office, pubs and cafes within approx 10 minutes walk of the house. Popular with hikers. Daytime bus every hour to/from St Just and Penzance. Close to beautiful coastal walkways and Poldark-type views, well-known Geevor mine museum and cafe, local pottery. Parking on the premises here for one car. There is a small public car park opposite the corner shop and sometimes a parking space in the cul de sac by the house. There are regular daytime buses from Pendeen going to Penzance. Please enjoy yourself here, we have very simple and basic surroundings, but this is a beautiful area to stay and we hope to make your stay enjoyable in our own quiet way :)
