Get away from it all at our Cosy Cottage!

Nestled among the trees of a quiet street in the sleepy township of Whitecliffs, Riverstone Cottage is the perfect place to get away from it all. Located just an hour from central Christchurch, and yet you feel like you are a world away. This special spot is at the edge of the town, just a few steps away from the lovely Selwyn River. There’s something for everyone whether you like biking, walking, fishing, golf, jet boats etc, or simply sitting back with a book! Ideal for couples, this is our family Bach, and as such we keep it simple. Note there's no Wifi or TV so you can be offline for a while! (DVD player and plenty of DVD's though). The cottage is well set up with a generous living space, 2 cosy bedrooms and drawers for storage. As it's a Bach we generally don't provide linen but please let us know at time of inquiry if you need this and we can make arrangements. Heat pump and bedroom heaters provides excellent heating/cooling plus the fire for that extra bit of warmth and atmosphere. Parking is on site, room for 3 cars, but absolutely no parking on the grass in front of the deck as the septic tank is underneath! The cottage is yours for the duration of your stay. We will be available by phone or email for any queries, but will otherwise leave you in peace. The cottage has a wonderful view of the Lady Barker Ranges, and the deck is the perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine watching the sun set. Whitecliffs has a great playground, swimming holes and fishing, plus the campground around the corner is a great spot to explore or take the kids for a bike ride. From skiing, to hiking and jet boating we have left lots of information at the cottage about the many activities you can access a short drive away. There's something for everyone but you are most likely just going to want to sit back and relax and enjoy the serenity. Please note the bunk room is tight and the bunks are quite small; they are designed for children but most adults can manage in the bottom bunks. (weight limit 65 kg for top bunks). There is a trundle bed too for taller teens/ adults if needed. The queen bedroom has plenty of room.
