This attractive timber Cabin is simple in style, detached, self-contained and within the grounds of the main house. It is a short drive from all of Somerset’s holiday opportunities. The Cabin offers fully carpeted living/dining/kitchen space and a bedroom with ensuite shower room. It is comfortable, fully insulated, has double glazing, heating and mains services. Glass doors open onto the garden and a vaulted ceiling add light and space to a charming property. Parking is available. We are a 5-minute drive away in the neighbouring village, contactable by phone, but am around the property most days. The Cabin is situated set back from the B3151 southbound just outside Street at Compton Dundon, a small hamlet of stunning properties in a rural location yet only two miles into town. This is an excellent resting place from which to explore the wetlands and wildlife of the Somerset Levels. A selection of good walks and birding experiences can be enjoyed from the short drive to Avalon Marshes, Westhay and others, and further to Slimbridge itself, plus several good walks can be taken from the village. Historic country houses and gardens are all within reach and the architectural glories of the Georgian City of Bath. Don’t forget to visit the magnificent Wells Cathedral and Glastonbury Abbey. The County town of Taunton, Yeovil, and cinemas, theatres, cultural events, art galleries, antique shops and local markets are all within a 20mile drive.
