Quaint apartment on the edge of the woods
The apartment is an ideal country break/retreat on the edge of a large woodland area, popular with walkers, mountain bikers & horse riders. We are also situated a short drive from the Peak District. A short hop off the M1 motorway, it an ideal stop-over if doing a leisurely stay-cation or using it as a base for roaming around the area. Grenoside is a conservation area with wonderful hiking, woodland bike rides & many more activities available. there are also numerous pubs and restaurants. This modern 1-bedroom (containing a 4ft wide double bed) apartment offers a cosy environment kitted with everything you need for a relaxing visit - please note that the ceiling is lower than normal (approximately 7ft) for those on the taller side. There is a fold-up single bed in the living room for guests who wish to sleep separately There is also a beautiful patio setting in the garden and a secure, covered space for the dogs to be left when they are not joining you on your outings. For the cycling and mountain bike enthusiasts, there is a secure, dry space for you to keep your bicycles. We have made sure there is non-contact access to avoid unnecessary time wastage as well as the option to check in as late as would best suite you. At the front door of the apartment there is a key-box safe with a combination code. The code will be sent through on the check-in date, at check-in time. I will be available by phone for any queries. The village is situated approximately 8km from the City Centre and has its own local shop, butcher, delicatessen, hairdresser as well as ASDA and LIDL which are within 2 miles radius. The apartment itself is an ideal place for a country break/retreat, being just 2 minutes walk from extensive woodlands, which is popular with walkers, mountain bikers and horse riders. There is also ready access to the stunning scenery of the Peak District. The village also boasts a number of comfortable pubs in which to enjoy a drink and a meal. Grenoside has been designated a Conservation Area because of the following features: * Its historical importance as a source of Sheffield's building stone * Its significance as the original location of the Walker Bros foundry and crucible steel works * An interesting mix of historical buildings representing different phases in Grenoside's development * Its distinct identity and sense of place quite separate from that of neighbouring communities Situated a short walk from the bus routes, as well as accessible to Uber and other taxi services. There is a designated single parking spot for most vehicles. -A self use washing machine is available at an extra charge - please note, prior arrangement is needed. -Light breakfast (cereal) is included -All linen must be stripped from the beds before check-out. * In the event of a power cut, access to the lobby will be required to reset the circuit breaker.
