The Townhouse in Waterloo sleeps 4,
My place is close to Sefton beach coastline at the mouth of the River Mersey, a short walk to Waterloo train station and 15 minutes by train into the city centre from there. You’ll love my place because its contemporary, clean and cozy and the ideal place to call your base when you explore this magnificent city. Breakfast Included. Hello again. I haven't hosted for 3 years and i have decided to open up my place again. I have completely redecorated and made some improvements to the place including a new kitchen, brand new king size bed, i have carpeted throughout, including the living room which was previously quarry tiled which were good looking but quite cold. I have a different sofa in there which is a big slouchy comfortable thing and a better smart telly. The space is a one bedroom townhouse over 3 floors with a conservatory, private entrance and private outside space of which the guests have sole use. It is situated very close to public transport into both Liverpool City centre and Southport . The space is ideal for a couple, but will comfortably accommodate up to 4 on a short stay, with a bed height inflatable mattress in the downstairs living room and a large sofa. The bedroom is on the top floor and the living room on the bottom floor , so there is ample separation between the two sleeping areas with the bathroom and kitchen on the 1st floor between them. So if you needed to get up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom or make a cup of tea, you would not be disturbing the other floor. All the blinds in the bedroom are 'black-out' to assist a good nights sleep. While there is no off-street parking available, there is almost always space in the street to park cars and after around 6pm parking ceases to be an issue at all. I am really happy to accommodate well behaved and house trained dogs but if you have a Great Dane or an Irish Wolfhound this is probably not the place for you. There is a small yard and acres of beach and green spaces close by. The property, although joined to my house, is entirely separate so guests will have the full run of the place both inside and out in complete privacy. Feel free to water the flowers if its your kind of therapy. I live in the property next door and will be available at any time 24/7 should the need arise, otherwise i will stay out of your way and let you enjoy the privacy and space. Waterloo is a suburb to the north of the city centre and is very close to the beach ( yes, Liverpool has miles of walkable beach) and the Anthony Gormley installation "Another Place'. My place is 15 minutes ( seven stops) from the centre of Liverpool on the train. Local to the area are places such as Marine AFC, Waterloo Rugby Club, Lakeside Adventure Centre, Aintree Race Course, Anfield & Goodison Park and RAF Woodvale. Within a 20 minute train journey from Waterloo, you are at the Arena and Convention Centre (ACC) Echo Arena and Liverpool Exhibition Centre at the Kings Dock where 'Liverpool Welcomes the World' . For the golfers it is a very pleasant 30 minute train ride to Royal Birkdale links, and in the other direction the courses on the Wirral. I live in a residential street just off a bustling shopping street which is hopping during the day, and really quiet after about 7 pm, for those travellers who need to just stop and take a breather for a few days or more, but want to be still near the action so to speak, then this is the perfect place, everything you need is no more than 250 meters from your door, from a doctor, to a nail technician, to a supermarket, to a barbers, to a late bar, to a dentist. On the other hand, its 20 minutes into Lime Street Train Station and the whole of the national rail network. Obviously i am biased, but i have lived here mostly all my life and its the most pleasant and safest, typically suburban Liverpool you could find. Within a 250 metres radius of the front door there are restaurants offering Chinese, Indian, Mexican, Greek, Turkish, Nepalese (2) , an American Diner, Brazilian, a JD Wetherspoons, and a Tapas Bar all situated on the lively South Road area. Even closer on St Johns Road, is an artisan confectioners, a sit-in artisan bakery, Williamson's traditional butchers and fishmongers, antique shops, a florist, a local professional artist and engraver, a furniture restorer and up-cycler, haberdashery, yoga school, an interior designers, a vet, and the premier ladies vintage retailer in Liverpool, The Vintage Corner who have offered a 10% discount on ticket prices to my guests. A traveller probably wouldn't use all of these services but their presence is indicative of, and contributes to, the ambience of the neighbourhood. Although Blundellsands and Crosby, the most affluent part of Liverpool, are just a mile up the road, the hustle and bustle of daily life happens in Waterloo, where all the stuff is that people need. Locals generally love living here, they plant flowers at the bases of the trees that line the street. My place is 3 minutes walk from Waterloo train station and the local bus terminus, which is linked to both Liverpool Lime Street and John Lennon Airport. A local Delta taxi back from Liverpool city centre is between £15 and £20 depending on time and day and takes about 20 minutes, there is no point in getting a taxi into town as it is far cheaper and quicker to go by train, and takes you right in the centre. One of the exits from Liverpool Central is onto Bold Street. Bold Street has more fantastic restaurants and cool shops than i can remember and this is where any food inspired travellers might consider starting. Try ' Miyagi's' (Japanese) they do a raman thats worth fighting over in an amazingly styled dining room, Mowgli, Baksheesh, there are loads. I want to give you the best experience possible. If you're here for a reason, let me know your plans, i have lived here mostly all my life. A small jet black cat with a red collar called 'Midnite' may make an appearance, she will easily shoo out if you're not inclined, but please note, she is the most well fed cat on the planet. The heart wrenching plaintive cries that could only come from a half starved helpless abandoned creature are but a ruthless emotional tactic to get you to feed her.... she is not lost, she has a private entrance in the form of a cunningly disguised cat flap in the front door of my place where she lives like the first born child of an Egyptian Pharaoh,......please don't feed the cat if you can bare not to, she is already ruined beyond redemption :) May i ask that if you smoke, can you only smoke in the conservatory with the internal door closed and the external doors and windows open as much is practical....thank you.
