Cornish Countryside Cabin

Our wooden cabin is located at the top of our garden which is why it has been named ‘Uptop’. It started life as a shed and has evolved over 25 years from the kids chill-out to now a great place to enjoy the tranquil Tamar Valley. Here you are surrounded by trees and spectacular far reaching views. There is plenty to do locally from extreme activities to stately homes with Cotehele House close by or beautiful beaches just half an hour’s drive or take the 30 min picturesque train ride to Plymouth The cabin has one double room and a big corner sofa that could sleep a little one. The front garden is flat so if you want to come with older kids that could camp then we would be happy to accommodate you The cabin is totally separate from the family home so you can be as private as you wish. If you want to access independently we are happy to leave the key in a lock box. It is located up the top of the garden and very quiet and peaceful. The host is mainly at home and available should there be any issues We are fairly remote but we do have neighbours quite close by although there is a field in between so the closest neighbours might be the cows. There is very little light pollution so on a clear night there is fabulous opportunity for star gazing Parking is next to the cabin although it is quite a challenge in the dark for the first time so we recommend that you park in the gravel car park lower down the garden. Access to the house is via a track that is not metalled therefore expect a dusty car during hot dry weather.
