Make yourself at home in our fully equipped, self contained guest wing. You will have your own space to sleep, relax & cook with stunning views to Maungatautari Mountain & the surrounding country side from the outdoor dining area & BBQ. Only 25 minutes from Hobbitton, 20 minutes to Lake Karapiro, 1 hr to Waitomo Caves, Rotorua and Mt Maunganui. Bedroom 1 has a queen bed Bedroom 2 has 3 singles (bunk bed and single) Fold out couch in lounge suitable for 1 adult or 2 children. Bathroom offers a bath, shower & hand basin. A seperate toilet comes off the kitchenette. Small fridge, toaster, kettle, microwave, 2 hotplates & bench top oven in kitchenette. Dining/ lounge space has a cosy log burner, dining table, chairs. Laundry drying rack suspended from ceiling above wood burner. BBQ is outside on patio. A seperate entrance way beside the garage leads you into your kitchenette & on into the dining/lounge area. Bedrooms are accessed from lounge. Large sliding door opens out onto paved patio & outdoor dining area. If we're around we're happy to tell you about the local area & attractions, or leave you in peace ;) If we're not around you will be able to let yourself in, a welcome letter explains everything you'll need to know about the property & we will be available by text :) Mountain View is only 5 km from Arapuni Village, which boasts the iconic Swing bridge & Rhubarb cafe for fabulous coffee & meals (wed-sun). The Waikato River Trails run right through the village. 12 min drive to Putaruru where you can pick up supplies from the local super market or buy take out. (they'll even deliver to the house). Out in the Styx Restaurant is only 20 mins drive away and is a great place to dine (bookings only). We are close to Sanctuary Mountain (Maungatautari) for walks, Lake Arapuni and Karapiro for boating, rowing and swimming, the Waikato River Trail for biking and walking, CastleRock and Froggatt Edge for rock climbing. Within 40 mins drive is Cambridge, Hobbiton, Tirau and Te Awamutu. Rotorua, Hamilton & Mt Maunganui are all within an hours drive. While we welcome young children please enquire before booking the property as there are water features you need to be aware of. The guest wing is seperated from our space by locked french doors & thermal curtains, therefore the guest wing is not completely sound proofed from our living space. We ask that noise is kept to a minimum between 10pm- 6:30am & we will endeavour to do the same!
