Double room with character and lovely countryside views in modern semi detached house in a quiet cul-de-sac. Situated in the village of Lower Farringdon, Alton near Chawton, Jane Austen’s village. Small double room with garden view suitable for couple or single person - 1 bed. Guests have use of a SHARED bathroom, access to kitchen, and shared sitting room/dining room with TV. They are also welcome in the garden. I will always be available in person or on the phone if I’m out, to help or advise. Guests are welcome to share sitting room with TV. Farringdon is a pretty village about 5 minutes off the A31 in beautiful Hampshire countryside. A car is needed although a train station is 15 minutes away and I can collect by prior arrangement. There are no shops in the village itself - two pubs - but there is a post office 5 minutes drive away. Jane Austen’s village of Chawton with its museum and historic Chawton House is a 5 minute drive and Gilbert White’s house and museum (the famous naturalist) set in stunning countryside in the village of Selborne, is also just a 5 minute drive. The beautiful Watercress Line for lovers of steam railway is a 10 minute drive from the house. Our three friendly animals - two dogs and a cat live in the house. Friendly and well behaved dogs welcome! Please note a continental style breakfast is provided (croissants) - additional charge of £5 per person for a full cooked breakfast.
