Castle House

Castle House is a large house and has 2 separate holiday apartments in addition to this one bedroom annex. So you could rent all three and share a family holiday for 10 people and still retain some privacy. The grounds are large with plenty of parking space at the back. The driveway is a bit narrow so care should be taken on the way in and out. Although this is part of our home, guests have their own bathroom and kitchen . There’s a private entrance which leads on to a balcony where breakfast can be eaten in the morning sun or an evening meal and watch the sunset. Some rooms will have some of our personal belongings in them but whilst the guests are on the premises, they will have priority and full privacy of these rooms. We will be around the house or grounds most of the time should guests need to speak to us regarding any issues or questions they might have. We love to socialise but also respect guests' privacy and therefore we allow them their own space. They are more than welcome to join us of an evening if they so wish. Penysarn is a very small and quiet Village nestling in the shadow of Mynydd Parys which once was home to the largest copper mine in Wales. It is now a heritage Centre and makes for a beautiful long or short walk (to suit yourself) made all the more beautiful by the colours in the ground from all the copper. Penysarn is ideal as a base for all the amenities that Ynys Mon has to offer. There is a Village shop and Post Office located around the corner from the property and opposite the shop is the bus stop. The Town of Amlwch is only 2 miles away and you can walk to it via the coastal path from the beautiful little beach of Llaneilian which is about 1 1/2 miles away or by car takes a couple of minutes. There is an excellent bus service on our doorstep with 2 buses going in each direction every half hour. A rover ticket (which you can purchase at the shop) will take you not only all over the Island but to Gwynedd as well. if you come by car we have ample parking at the rear of the property but on the days that it's full, there are 2 lay-by's a few yards from the property and a small car park about 20 yds away. Look out for our uninvited guest that we are always happy to see. Our red squirrel likes to make an appearance from time to time which causes great excitement.
