The Tavern is an original place situated in "Fondo" the capital of "Val Di Non", the king of the "Melinda" apples! Nice tavern located in a quite area in the center of a small town. The tavern is completely renovated: if you want to live an original and typical experience in the heart of the Dolomite Alps, you are in the right place. This rustic place is perfect for a peaceful and quite holiday, for a small group of friends, for a couple, but also for people who prefer to stay alone, as well as motorcyclists, big travelers and for people who are just passing through. The tavern is a 2-rooms apartment with the following facilities: hot-water heating, hob and oven, bath with shower, fridge and freezer, stereo hi-fi, LCD TV, free parking space. Close to the tavern you can find all sorts of shops and facilities such as: supermarket, shopping stores, typical restaurant and pizzeria, bakery, coffee bar, post office, bank and, above all, a tourist office with free wi-fi internet connection. We are available at every moment to help our guests via phone or e-mail. We will also prepare a plan, according to your needs and to the kind of holiday you want to enjoy, in order to make your stay easier and exciting. Fondo, is the capital of the north “Val di Non” area of the Dolomites. It’s a small town approximately 1000 meters above the sea level. It is an agricultural center and here you can taste the most delicious apples of Italy called Melinda. Fondo has a strategic position because in 30 minutes you can reach Merano, a big town worth visiting with a health spa center. Instead, it takes 33km to reach Bolzano, one of the capital of “Trentino Alto Adige” region. Trento, which is the other capital is 50 km far away. If you want to take a longer journey, you can reach Lake Garda in less than 90 km or the charming and romantic Verona in 150 km or cross the Italian border and reach Innsbruck, in Austria in 150 km. Fondo, offers pleasant walks in the mountains in summer and throughout the year. For example you can explore: - The thrilling Canyon Rio Sass that can be travelled over bridges with a vertical drop of 145 meters and 348 steps. One hour and a half of emotions guaranteed. - The cliff walks approximately 300 meters long with a depth of 60m, which connects the town center to Emerald Lake. - Charming paths leading among the scattered mountain barns in the valley. The altitude can reach up to 1700mt, where you can taste the typical home made products of South Tyrolean and Trentino regions. If you are not yet satisfied, Fondo offers more activies such as: a climbing rock gym, trekking, fishing, horse-back riding, golf and tennis.
