The house is converted from a traditional stone barn & stands in the small, peaceful and very pretty French village of Puymoreau. The village is surrounded by the rolling countryside of the Charente Maritime region, bordered by vibrant sunflower fields. The medieval town of St Jean D'Angely is only 10 minutes away with restaurants, bars, supermarkets and everything you need for your stay All the old features of exposed stone walls & original beams have been carefully preserved but the finish is light, airy & contemporary to give a comfortable living space with all modern comforts. Amenities Double bedroom with ensuite walk-in shower room with cool twin handbasins & WC. French doors from the bedroom lead onto the lower terrace. Twin bedroom with adjacent bathroom. Well equipped open-plan kitchen with large counter top, Smeg gas hob, electric oven. Large fridge/freezer & dishwasher. Washing machine & tumble dryer are in the utility room off the mezzanine. Guests have the whole house to themselves . We have a keysafe system so guests are free to arrive at any time after 16h00 and similarly free to leave at any time that suits them . We have a house nearby so whilst our guests are totally independent and private , when we are at home we are available to help. Our village is delightful. A quiet and peaceful french village set amongst sunflower fields but only 8 km to the medieval market town of St Jean D'Angely We are under an hour from La Rochelle airport and Poitiers & Bordeaux airports are also within easy reach. It is also possible to take a TGV from Paris or by car we are 5 minutes from junction 34 of the A10. There is off road parking just by the house.
