Standing in a field of a working, family run, farm is this beautifully converted lorry horse box. With a king size bed over the lorry cab, bunk beds at the far end and a three seater sofa with a lovely view of the sunset out of the patio doors. The patio doors lead out onto a raised decking area where you can enjoy your coffee in the morning or a glass of wine or two in the evening, whilst star gazing. A stay in our horsebox is perfect for relaxing and getting away from it all. Our Horsebox (Doris) is a large 1969 Ford D series lorry which has been lovingly converted. The space is open plan with a curtain seperating the full size bunk beds from the rest of the room. There are steps up to the kingsize bed over the lorry cab with a curtain for privacy. Bed linen and towels are supplied. Board games and cards are provided for you to enjoy precious friends and family time, away from technology. The kitchen is equipped with a kettle, toaster, a double hallogen hob, a combination microwave oven and a mini fridge. There is a Butler sink with hot and cold water. Pots, pans, plates, cutlery, glasses etc. The decking area (made from the original horse ramp) is perfect for enjoying the fesh air, peace and quiet, watching the wildlife and enjoying the starry night sky. Access to toilet and electric shower are close by in a converted horse trailer. One well behaved dog is welcome but please keep them on a lead. Parking is available right next to the horsebox. The local area is very popular with walkers and cyclist (we are on the South Suffolk Cycle Route and not far from Dedham Vale) with country lanes and footpaths all around. Our local pub is a nice walk about a mile away, not far from the well stocked village shop. Larger supermarkets can be found in nearby market town of Sudbury which is about 2 miles away. Sudbury has a small train station which travels through Bures and Chappel over the viaduct to Marks Tey which then links to London and Colchester. Close to historic villages of Lavenham and Long Melford and market town of Sudbury Country roads, popular cycle routes. On small circular bus route. Popular places to visit are Long Melford and Lavenham, both historical vilages with beautiful houses, restaurants, tea rooms. Small individual shops and Stately homes such as Melford Hall and Kentwell Hall. Nethergate Brewery is also popular with visitors and locals alike.
