Third generation family cottage with beach, private hot tub on the deck and amazing views of Tomales Bay. The gravel frontage road leading from State Route 1 to the Beach Cottage was once part of the narrow gauge railroad that took vacationers, farm animals and lumber up and down the coast from 1871 to 1930. If you need more space, you can also book our Rustic Beach Cottage, which is directly next door and offers 2 bedrooms and 1 bath, as well as its own outdoor hot tub and fabulous bay view. Open plan living room, dining area and kitchen. Master bedroom and bath at one end of the cottage with the other two bedrooms and bath at the other end. Parking for two vehicles in front of garage. (No garage parking available) Nick's Cove is one mile north. Hog Island Oysters and Tony's Seafood are a couple miles to the south. Tomales is an amazing little town 7 miles north with an excellent bakery. Valley Ford (a ten minute drive north of Tomales) is the gateway to Sonoma County's epicurean wonderland of seafood eateries, wineries, pie shops, microbreweries, bakeries and other gastronomic extravaganzas. Equally great food, State Parks and Point Reyes National Seashore can be found 12 miles to the south in Point Reyes Station. If good eating, amazing scenery and exercising are on your list, this is the place to do it! You'll need a car, a pair of binoculars, and some good hiking boots to explore the neighborhood around Tomales Bay. Small dogs are permitted, contingent on approval by owner and an additional $75 cleaning fee. We ask that owners clean up after dogs and keep them on leash.
