Situated on the owners working farm surrounded by fields and beautiful countryside is this lovely spacious two-bedroom cottage in Oxfordshire. The cottage boasts original features including a cosy wood burner to enjoy on a colder evening. Step out of the front door, and you have immediate access to the popular Deddington 12-mile circular walk, perfect for dog walkers/those that like to keep fit. The Duke at Clifton is a perfect walk for a Sunday roast or enjoy a walk to the Yurt at Nicholsons for coffee and brunch. For those that are more leisurely walkers, Deddington is just a 15-minute walk along the footpath. The cottage is a perfect base for exploring the local area, with the Cotswolds right on the doorstep along with many popular country pubs. Deddington village has a choice of pubs and local facilities and a monthly farmers market. The historic market town of Banbury is close by, Chipping Norton, Moreton-in-Marsh and Shipston-on-Stour give a more traditional view of the Cotswolds and the chance to stroll along the quaint high streets, stopping at one of the many tea shops and country inns for which the area is famous. Less than 30 minutes away lies Blenheim Palace, in the town of Woodstock, birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill and home of the Blenheim Horse Trials. In the opposite direction, why not sample Sulgrave Manor (ancestral home of the family of George Washington) or Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit, situated next to a forest - or divert to shop at designer boutiques in the highly acclaimed Bicester Village Outlet Centre. A little farther afield, but still within easy driving distance, lie the university city of Oxford, the ancient town of Warwick, Leamington Spa and the historic town of Stratford-upon-Avon. Commonly referred to as Shakespeare’s Stratford, this is the perfect opportunity to visit many historic attractions including the Birthplace, Anne Hathaway’s Cottage and the world famous Royal Shakespeare Theatre.
