'Big Red' truck with incredible views & hot tub

Big Red by the lake, where stunning countryside and unique living meet. The ultimate off grid living experience, Big Red is a stylishly converted Mountain Rescue vehicle. Designed and crafted into a touring family home by the director of a renowned arts company, the vintage Mercedes is a stylish portal into nature’s spectacle. From 15 December 2021 there will also be a private hot tub which can be booked for an additional cost of £50 p/session. This must be booked before the day of your stay. A veteran of Sahara crossings and all terrain global adventures, Big Red is built for families sleeping two adults, two children and one infant. Further camping facilities are also available should your group be larger. Big Red comes with a fully fitted kitchen, salon, and hot shower, as well as a hand built terrace outside where you can kick back with family and friends and soak up the sunshine. Nestled into some of Britain’s most breathtaking countryside, guests can enjoy panoramic views of Chew Lake and the rolling hills around it, immersing them fully in nature. At night you can watch the stars whilst sitting by the fire pit, a truly special experience to share with friends and family this summer. Thirty minutes from Bristol, the Chew Valley boasts fabulous pubs and restaurants alongside timeless forests and hidden meadows to explore. The experience will allow guests to live the freedom of the outdoors life but still with every comfort they would need. Prior to arrival guests will be sent directions as well as codes and instructions to access the property. We will be contactable for any questions you might have, and there is a caretaker who can tend to any issues on site. You will be hidden away in the countryside but there are plenty of amenities nearby should you require them. We will provide you with a full list of restaurants, shops etc. The closest airport is Bristol Airport, only 5 miles away. The closest main train station is Bristol Temple Meads, 8 miles away. Uber operates in and around Bristol, and we can provide you with detailed information about local taxi firms. Please note you will need to be able to climb steps to access the entrance to this home. A full manual with instructions regarding the home will be available on your arrival. The home is family friendly but care will need to be taken if small children are staying as there is no handrail enclosing the decking area outside. Bedding and towels are provided.
