The Family Cabin

The Family Cabin is right on the water, and sleeps up to 6. It has an open floor plan with one queen size bed, one full size bed, and a set of adult size bunk beds. It also has a full size kitchen/dining area, and a full size bathroom. The open floor plan in The Family Cabin makes this cabin a favorite for families. Having a kitchen/dining area is a big plus. You don't have to worry about leaving to go find a restaurant, especially if you have young children. You can prepare snacks and meals, without ever leaving your cabin. The refrigerator has an ice maker, which is handy. There are dishes, pots, pans, & silverware. There is a coffee pot, microwave, toaster, blender, mixer, and an electric can opener. No dishwasher. Guest access to the weddings and events side of the lake is NOT permitted without management approval. Guest access to The Kitchen, which is an outdoor cooking area next to The Family Cabin, is permitted and welcomed. The Kitchen has a rustic table and eight chairs. It also has a fireplace, an outdoor grill, PLUS an old wood cook stove. The Kitchen has four rocking chairs that face the lake. What a perfect way to end the day. The Kitchen is not exclusive to The Family Cabin. There could be other guests there, who are lodging in nearby cabins. If you are lucky, you might get to meet the owner of the property. He frequents this area of the lake. We love to interact with our guests, but respect their privacy if they want to keep to themselves. Some of our guests like to tell us all about their lives and their families, and some just need some peace and quiet. They are happy to come and go as they please, and do their own thing. We are only 45 minutes away from Canton First Monday Trade Days, in Canton, TX. The Family Cabin is becoming more and more popular for Canton weekends, and for this reason, may need to be booked more in advance, than some of our other cabins. Parking for The Family Cabin is really easy. You can practically drive up to the back door. For access to the property before seven in the morning, or after seven in the evening, a gate code will be needed. Please call or email, the day of your arrival, for the gate code. Our main number is (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) If there is a wedding or an event, the weekend of your stay, music can be overheard from your cabin, up until midnight, the night of the event. For most guests, this creates no problem and doesn't interrupt their stay in any way.
