With amazing views from the balcony off the living room, you can sometimes see deer grazing on the hillside. There are so many things to see and do in this part of Devon, including Canonteign Falls, which is only 2 miles from Middle Wicket, many National Trust properties and Crealy Adventure park in Exeter. Haldon Forest has many activities on offer, including cycle ways for off road cycling, a butterfly trail and for the really active visitors, there is a Go Ape. If you fancy a flutter at the races, both Exeter and Newton Abbot racecourses are close by, or take a trip to Plymouth to visit the National Marine Aquarium, Plymouth Hoe and the Barbican. The city of Exeter offers a cathedral, canalside walks and plenty of shopping. Take a walk on one of the many tours that Dartmoor has to offer, or try letterboxing on the moor, a fun way to spend a few hours.
