Originally lived in by VKH’s very own artist Freda Pemberton Smith, where every inch of the walls once displayed her beautiful portraits and landscapes. Now a cozy place to call home while you explore charming, joyful Vankleek Hill, just 1 hour from both Ottawa and Montreal. Walking distance to the towns Main St and Beaus Brewery. -Little House On the Hill- a charming house built in the 1950’s and lived in by only one full time resident, Vankleek Hills very own and one of a kind artist Freda Pemberton Smith. Furnished with most things antique and local art, fully equipped with essentials to make your stay most comfortable. It is best to have a vehicle so you can fully explore what the area has to offer, but since Farmers is central to town it is within walking distance to essentials. Dmitry and I love to meet our guests but also fully respect and understand the convenience and privacy some guests prefer to fully feel at home. Therefore we have contactless check in via the lockbox. We live in town and are always available to help if needed or to answer any questions you may have during your stay. The little house on the hill is centrally located to Vankleek Hill’s downtown with essentials like our local Pharma Choice, Canada Post office, Scotiabank, Bank National, Champlain Library, Home Hardware, Foodland and many of our charming local establishments like Jade’s Garden, the Windsor Tavern, The Broken Kettle, Indigo Hill, The Pink Bow Tie, M&N’s Apothecary, Nicko’s Family Restaurant and more as our small town only continues to grow in wonderful ways. Private parking for your vehicle during your stay. Walking distance to Main street and/or Main Street parking is easy and almost always available. Other important things to note: We continue to want to protect our community and our families therefore we ask for proof of vaccination against Covid-19 (2+ doses ) *Washer and Dryer soon to come (hopefully by March 2022) *FEES* Damage- dependant on extent of damages Late Check Out (after 11 AM unless previously arranged and agreed on) $25/hr Lost Key- $25 fee Pet(s) and/or smoking indoors -$1500 Theft- dependant on item(s) stolen Summer guests- Lawn maintenance will happen weekly/bi weekly, please make sure to remove any articles from the backyard for the lawn mower to pass through. Winter guests- Shovel and salt provided for guests own maintenance of stairs and walkway. Snow removal of driveway will be maintained for parking but please make sure to move vehicle to street during or immediately after snowfall. Thank you!
