Situated on a real working family farm this once derelict shearers quarters oozes plenty of country charm! Sit on the unique verandah and watch the animals grazing, take in the magnificent views and fresh country air or snuggle by the open fireplace with a good book and a local wine. Centrally located amongst some of the states best historic goldfields such as Sofala, Hill End & Windeyer and only a 45 minute drive to the ever popular award winning town of Mudgee. Only $80 pp/pn. Can sleep 4-5. Once an old shearers hut this quaint little cottage offers plenty of history and rustic charm. Whilst far from 5 star this little beauty has all the basics and we're confident you'll have a comfortable and affordable stay, allowing you to spend your money on the more important things such as good food, wine and adventures!! Just enjoy the peace and quiet and recharge in a full country setting or use this as a base and explore some of the Central Wests best little towns and villages. Cottage has 2 bedrooms one with bunk bed (double bottom, single on top) and a single bed in bedroom 2. Fully equipped small kitchen plus loungeroom with dining table. Gas BBQ on the verandah. We can provide limited wi-fi via a portable Telstra modem, this will allow phone service & wi-fi calling, due to it being on a plan we ask you to limit streaming services or large downloads. Surrounded by farmland but plenty to explore with only 30 minutes drive to Sofala, 26 minutes to Hill End, 19 minutes to Windeyer, 45 minutes to Mudgee, 45 minutes to Rylstone and 60 minutes to Bathurst. Please be mindful that the cottage is situated in the heart of a full working sheep and cattle farm so you can expect animal noises, smells and plenty of farm activity! We should also mention that we have ridiculously friendly work dogs who no doubt at some stage will come for a visit! We do allow pets, but they are your full responsibility and whilst our dogs are generally friendly please remember this is their home and we cant guarantee they won't get their nose out of joint. There is the possibility of sheep right near the cottage so if you suspect your dog might chase the animals please keep it restrained at ALL times.
