We were delighted to find that Galinios villa is close to the very charming Ammousso beach, a wide beach with sun kissed pebbles and stunning turquoise translucent waters, gently shelving so perfect for snorkellers and little ones alike. A charming country retreat, Galinios means tranquillity and this restful haven is a traditional stone built house surrounded by the green Lefkadian countryside. The pool at the front of the villa has a lovely pool terrace and opens up from the patio doors of the sitting room. The exposed walls inside add an extra traditional touch to this pretty house with a well equipped kitchen as part of the open plan living and dining area. The master bedroom has a handsome 4 poster bed and along with the double beddrom each boast an en suite shower room. The single bedroom has use of a separate shower room. Inviting and informal, this is a country family home with the local shop and a simple restaurant within walking distance and delightful Vassiliki village a twenty minute drive. Vasiliki is also famous for wind-surfing as the thermal currents that blow around the beautiful round bay prove perfect for keen windsurfers to try their luck.
