Fig Tree Cottage is the perfect country home to share with family and friends. With 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and several living areas with log fires, you'll feel right at home in this cosy country setting. The open plan kitchen looks out onto stunning views of the large garden and surrounding fields. With easy access to scenic walking routes, surrounding pubs and larger towns, the cottage has everything you need to make it your home-away-from-home! Nestled in a rural setting with easy access to great local pubs and several historic towns including Bradford of Avon, Bath, Salisbury, and Trowbridge. The cottage is full of character with a warm and cosy feel, spacious and of a high spec. It is perfect for families or large groups of friends. There is plenty of living areas including an outside dinning area, open-plan kitchen/living room, open-plan dining/living room and a snug. UTLITY/RECEPTION ROOM This entrance room has a washing machine, a tumble dryer, and a large fridge/freezer which acts as extra space from the kitchen. There is a toilet and shower room which runs straight off from here. KITCHEN/LIVING AREA The kitchen has everything you'd need for a family break away including a fridge, hob/oven, microwave, dishwasher, kettle and a toaster. The living area in the kitchen has a working log fire - perfect for socialising and relaxing! DINING ROOM/LIVING AREA The dining room runs off from the kitchen and into a second living space which has a harp and piano to enjoy! The living area has a smart TV and a working log fire. Tucked away in the corner is a cosy snug room with a DVD player and games for children. BEDROOMS & BATHROOMS All bedrooms are on the first floor and include crisp white linen and fluffy towels for your stay! Bedroom 1: king sized bed with ensuite shower room Bedroom 2: king sized bed Bedroom 3: double and a single Bedroom 4: double There is a shared bathroom on this floor with a bath tub. OUTSIDE AREA Dining space for all guests, a small charcoal BBQ and a Chiminea. There is plenty of space for parking cars on the drive way. The Cottage is located in a rural village, please be respectful of the local community and limit any noise past 11pm. The cottage is located a 15-minute drive (30 min walk) into the village of Steeple Ashton where you will find a village hall, shops and a little convenience store. The cottage is sandwiched between the larger towns of Melksham (3.8 miles), Trowbridge (3.8 miles) and Devizes (8.9 miles) where you will find a larger array of shops, supermarkets, restaurants and bars. Trowbridge Train Station is a 10 minute drive away (or a 30-minute walk, 4 miles) which can take you West to Bath and beyond. There is also a train station in Westbury (5.8 miles away) which has great links East into London and to the South Coast. The cottage is located a 30-minute drive from Bath City Centre where you will have an array of shops, cafes and restaurants at your fingertips. Dogs are permitted in the cottage, we just kindly ask that they stay downstairs for the duration of your stay.
