Comfortable, homey and peaceful setting will let you enjoy your home away from home. A country setting right in town. Our home has a large Smart TV with fast WiFi and includes Netflix and Amazon Prime as well as other choices. We've recently added central A/C and Heat for optimal comfort of our guests. Our kitchen is fully equipped with a coffee bar and everything you'll need if you want to cook your own meals. We have a washer and dryer for your convenience. We have provided 2 port-a -cribs for those traveling with small children. There is a picnic table in the backyard as well as an additional table and chairs under the carport with a porch swing. We are home to the Varner-Hogg Plantation State Historic Site which was the home of the former Governor of Texas, James S. Hogg and his family. The Plantation if open Wednesday - Sunday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for tours. There is an admission fee. Our town has several boutiques and restaurants that'll you'll love to browse for gifts and enjoy some great food. We have a local park with a playground and swimming facility.
