The Garden Barn your peaceful secret hideaway

Enjoy a warm friendly welcome at The Garden Barn with its own entrance and key box, in a peaceful rural setting. You'll find the space light and airy and very private. Being down an unmade road helps make It a tranquil place, and we are sure you'll feel the peaceful ambiance as soon as you enter. The Garden Barn consists of an open living area with a double sofa bed, and a fully functional kitchen including a fridge/freezer, microwave, oven and hob. Shower room with wc, hand basin and towel rail leads off the hall. The bedroom has a king size bed, hanging rail with hangers, shelf unit and shelves beside the bed. There are plenty of electric sockets throughout. Guests have access to outside space with table and chairs overlooking the countryside, to enjoy breakfast on a sunny day or a drink in the evening. We give our guests space, but we are available if needed. You can snuggle down and leave the world behind, or alternatively it is ideal for walking, cycling & running with the river and countryside close by. RSPB Wallasea Island is 6 miles away and ideal for seal watching & boat trips across to Burnham, 4 miles from Southend airport & 6 miles from Southend seafront where you will find Sealife Centre & Adventure Island amongst other attractions. The Garden Barn is ideally situated if you are attending a wedding or function at Apton Hall (2.5 miles), The Lawns (3.8 miles) and Rochford Hotel (3.2 miles). Ballards Gore Golf Course (3.5 miles) and Rochford Hundred Golf Course (3 miles) are also both nearby. There is a village shop, Sanders Food & Wine (with late opening hours) 15 minutes’ walk, a hairdresser and beauty salon, chemist, Post Office and The Victory Inn pub 20 minutes’ walk.Café 209 (1.8 miles) serve breakfast and l highly recommend them.Or you can pop to nearby Sanders or Co-op supermarket (1.8 miles) nearby to buy all you need for breakfast or supper. Although we now offer WiFi, not being technical, it seems to be slow at times.
