Enjoy a getaway in the Hertfordshire countryside. The annexe is a self-contained extension within a 350 year old Grade 2 listed property. There is a double bedroom with en-suite and a kitchen with combination microwave oven plus hob, as well as a smart TV. Potten End is situated just outside the perimeter of Ashridge Estate, along country roads. The lovely town of Berkhamsted is just five minute's away. The M1 and train services to London Euston are within 10 minutes' drive. The annexe has been completed to a high standard. Tastefully and artistically furnished with contemporary fixtures and fittings, it comprises an entrance patio and front door; mini kitchen with dining table; a main room with king-sized bed, storage area, work space, smart TV, Wi-Fi and comfortable chair; and an en-suite bathroom with shower, toilet, washbasin and heated towel rail. The kitchen/diner and bedrooms both have efficient radiators and double glazed windows. Stonehouse is one of the two oldest properties in Potten End, dating back to 1684. Owned within the same family since 1971, the property has been extensively refurbished and reconfigured by its current occupier. The parking space is directly outside the annexe. Guests are welcome to store their bicycles securely in the adjacent barn, although we politely request you let us know in advance if you're bringing bikes. The village has two pubs and a village stores all within a couple minutes' walk. The main house is usually occupied by my uncle, Trevor, who has undertaken an extensive restoration of the house and barn. I live a few miles away, but between us we can offer assistance and guidance about the local area. We are both keen cyclists and walkers. The beautiful Ashridge estate is closeby which is very popular for walking and cycling.
